Fresh cherries from Oregon are a beautiful and flavorful summer delight. Here are two hard-to-find varieties chosen for both their rich flavor and beautiful color. The Skeena is a sweet, firm, heart-shaped cherry with a dark skin and flesh. The Mt. Hood Rainier is plump and golden with layers of rosy blush tones and an intense sweetness. Both are treats you may not want to share!

Serving suggestions

If you have a cherry pitter, try baking the dark Skeena’s into a pie or crisp. But really, that’s a lot of work. Both the Mt. Hood Rainiers and Skeenas are so fresh and full of sweetness, just use them as they are. Put a bowl out for a summer party, serve them up for dessert, or leave a dish-full on the counter and they’ll be gone in no time.

Storing your fresh cherries

These cherries will maintain their fresh flavor for up to seven days when refrigerated. Keep them dry, rinse just before eating.

Your order includes a total of four+ pounds of fresh Mt. Hood Rainier and Skeena cherries packed in clamshell boxes and hand-packed into a beautiful Dragonberry gift box. Orders placed from June 10 through July 9 will be shipped summer-fresh cherries in mid-July as the first fruit in a 3, 6 or 12 month fruit program.
